Adult Dog Training
It's never too late to learn! Whether you're looking to brush up on your dog's existing skills or teach them something new, adult dog training focuses on building practical life skills to help you and your dog navigate everyday life together.
Using positive, reward-based methods, I'll work with you and your dog at a pace that suits them, helping to build confidence, improve communication and make learning an enjoyable experience for you both.
Training can include:
Everyday manners – sit, down, stay, wait and polite greetings.
Loose-lead walking – helping your dog learn to walk comfortably on the lead without constantly pulling.
Recall – building a reliable response when called, even around everyday distractions.
Calmness and settling – teaching your dog to relax and settle when needed.
Impulse control – practising skills such as waiting at doors, leaving items alone and taking treats gently.
Focus and engagement – helping your dog learn to check in with you and respond around everyday distractions.
Handling and cooperation – building positive associations with everyday handling, grooming and routine care.
Practical life skills – developing the skills your dog needs to feel comfortable and confident in everyday situations.
